The new state SAFE Act limits the amount of rounds in a clip to seven.</p><p>As a result, Gregory Dean Jr., 31, has been charged with unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both of which are misdemeanors. The court action was filed today in federal court in Buffalo by the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association along with a number of other organizations. A separate lawsuit filed earlier challenging how the law was passed was dismissed and is now being appealed.
