Impeachment Inquiry Sought

Washington – Massachusetts Democratic Congressman John Olver has joined a group of 26 House Democrats calling for a possible impeachment inquiry to see if there are grounds to begin impeachment proceedings against President Bush. The group wants to investigate whether Bush manipulated pre-Iraq war intelligence regarding Saddam Hussein's possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Local Officials Blast National Grid Storm Response

Moriah, NY – National Grid's handling of the aftermath of last Friday's wind storm is being criticized by some local government officials. At least 320-thousand homes and business across upstate New York suffered power failures. One state assembly representative plans to lodge a formal complaint with the state Public Service Commission over the utility's response. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.

Resolutions Differ Regarding Vermont Air Guard

Burlington, VT – The Burlington City Council will vote tonight on a counter resolution to a resolution that will appear on the Town Meeting Day Ballot. Those who crafted the anti-war measure believe the city is ceding to pressure from the military, while the city says says it is acknowledging the economic importance of an Air Guard base.
