Frankenpine Tower Lawsuit Dismissed

Albany, NY – A state judge has dismissed the lawsuit of an environmental group against the Adirondack Park Agency over a cell tower disguised as a huge pine tree. Proponents of the tower proposed for Pilot Knob hope the project can now move forward. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.

Kingston, NY – Ulster County has paid 50,000 dollars for a study to help the City of Kingston determine how best to cut down train whistle noise at railroad crossings. The project could cost the city and the town of Ulster more than one million dollars each.

Doctored Dam Reports Under Investigation

Neversink, NY – The New York City Department of Environmental Protection and the state attorney general's office are investigating reports that city staffers doctored dam-safety inspection reports for two dams in the Catskills.
