Sullivan County public defender system got a C

Sullivan County, NY – The New York State Defenders' Association has given the Sullivan County public defender system no grade higher than a C in its annual report card. In fact, the association gave the county system a C for independence, minimum qualifications, continuous representations and a C- for client confidentiality. The association gave the county program a D for prompt appointment of counsel and for accountability, and a grade of F for reasonable workloads, resource parity and for training.
