Framingham, MA – On a recent rainy evening in Eastern Massachusetts, when most people were staying warm and dry inside, other folks were outside - excitedly traipsing and tip toeing through the woods.

WAMC correspondent Christina Russo was one of them.

She was trailing behind a local naturalist there -- who guided her through the wild and wondrous world that is the salamander migration.

Senator Charles Schumer pushes for more flood grants

Sullivan County NY – Currently people who lose their homes to flooding the likes of which ravaged northwestern Sullivan County and southern Delaware County one year ago are eligible for a maximum of $25,000 in federal grants. The federal government is being a cheapskate when it should not pinch pennies to help those who have lost everything, US said Thursday.
