DPH grants in Western Mass.

Western, MA – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health released a report that for the first time, provides data covering a range of health topics broken down by region, race and ethnicity. And grant funds were allocated to organizations working to combat health disparities at the local level.

Sen. President visits Berkshire Biodiesel

Pittsfield, MA – There are three bio-diesel refineries planned for construction in Massachusetts. Control Board Backs Search For Police Commissioner

Springfield, MA – A divided Springfield Finance Control Board has voted to conduct a search for a new police commissioner. The three gubernatorial appointees on the board rejected calls from the mayor of Springfield , the mayor-elect, and others to forego a search in favor of appointing a local candidate.
