New Paltz, NY – Fire safety on and off college campuses has been a growing concern nationwide over the past several years. New York's Center for Campus Fire Safety reports that since 2000, there have been 84 on- and off-campus fire fatalities. Albany, NY – The New York State Museum in Albany is launching a new theme of exhibits dedicated to telling the story of the state's role in national history. Officials unearthed relics in the museum's own collections that will tell the story. And as the state budget's April 1st deadline looms this week, the museum could get a $40 million boost in funding.
