Summit to Assess Lake Champlain Lamprey Controls

Indian Point Shutdown Lowers Safety Rating

Buchanan, NY – Officials at the Indian Point Nuclear Power reactor north of New York City are investigating a transformer fire last Friday, and determining whether they can restart at low power. Regardless of their actions, the plant will be under greater scrutiny because this latest shutdown has lowered the plant's safety rating. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
