Drugs Dealers Traveling North

Kingston, NY – Statistics from the New York state Division of Criminal Justice Services, shows that drug distributors from New York City are continuing to migrate north to communities such as Kingston, Schenectady and Binghamton.

Developer Holds Informational Meeting to Quell Rumors Over Adirondack Project

Tupper Lake, NY – The Adirondack Club and Resort is a proposed development in and around the former Big Tupper Ski Area. It would be the largest development project ever considered by the Adirondack Park Agency. The developers and town officials supporting the project held an informational meeting Thursday evening in an effort to quell negative rumors about the project. Tech Valley High on its way

Troy, NY – With an endorsement from Governor George Pataki, New York State's first Technology centered-high school is on the fast-track to open its doors at the Troy-based global headquarters of the MapInfo corporation in September of 2007.

Same Sex Marriage Bill Introduced in Vermont House

Debate Over Plan to Put Surveillance Cameras Throughout Vermont Village

Bellows Falls, VT – About one hundred people attended a meeting in Bellows Falls, Vermont earlier this week to discuss a plan that would put surveillance cameras in various places around the village. The police chief says it would help his small department. But most people attending the three hour meeting were strongly opposed to the idea. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.

Saratoga county wants sex offender law

Clifton Park, NY – Strengthening New York's sex offender laws has been one of the top priorities in the state legislature this session. But Saratoga County officials are dissatisfied with the state's efforts so far. In March, the county is set to vote on a separate county law restricting where sex offenders can live after their release from prison.
