Vermont Releases Plan to Manage Lake Champlain Bay

The state of Vermont is hoping to improve water quality in Lake Champlain's Missisquoi Bay basin, which has been the site of toxic algae blooms, by reducing bacteria that flows into the bay and finding solutions to 13 suspected discharges in the towns of Enosburg Falls, North Troy, Richford and Swanton.

McGill Students Visit Emerging Economic City of Moscow

Every year, Montreal’s McGill University takes a complement of students, faculty and alumni to a city considered an emerging economic power.  Past trips have included tours of Israel, Dubai, India and South Africa. This year, the ”Hot Cities” tour took 34 students, plus faculty and alumni, to Moscow.

Schumer Promotes NY Maple Industry

Senator Charles Schumer was at the Parker Family Maple Farm in West Chazy in northern New York on Monday.  He stopped there to announce legislation he is introducing to boost syrup production in the state.  While there, owner Earl Parker gave Schumer some fresh syrup, which New York’s senior Senator drank from the bottle.
