Police say both occupants of a car that crashed into a concrete wall outside Pittsfield, Massachusetts High School have died.

No students or staff members were injured in the crash just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, about a half hour after school got out.

Police said Wednesday that 37-year-old Ernest Duck Jr. died shortly after the crash. He was apparently driving.

The passenger, 34-year-old Tariq Salley, died several hours later. Both were Pittsfield residents.

Police tell The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/1b3nZBg ) that witnesses say the car was driving erratically and speeding

Student Katherine Mortensen saw the car cross four lanes of traffic without attempting to turn at an intersection, jump the curb, strike a tree and turn 360 degrees in the air before slamming into the concrete wall in front of the school.
