4 Hospitalized After Vermont Building Collapse

A Vermont rescue official says none of the injuries suffered by four people in the collapse of an under-construction salt shed in Williston were life threatening.

Williston Fire Chief Ken Morton says the four workers were on the roof of the building when it collapsed, just before 2 p.m. Thursday. The workers each fell 21 feet onto "soft ground."

The building was being constructed by Neagley and Chase Construction Company. President Mark Neagley told the Burlington Free Press he had no immediate explanation for the collapse; officials are focusing on the conditions of the injured workers.

The four individuals were freed from the debris in less than 15 minutes.
