Tracy Drain is an engineer who helped build the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. As the orbiter approaches the red planet, we listen in on part 2 of an audio diary Tracy recorded while working on the project.

Earlier in the program we mentioned some of the ways international women's day was celebrated around the world. The United Nations marked the day with calls to boost the role of women in decision-making across the globe.
The Commission for the Status of Women, which is 50 years old this year, says that while women's participation in parliaments is now the highest it's ever been at 16.3%. That's only a marginal increase from 1975 when the rate was 10.9%.
