The Clintons are delivering speeches in New York this evening, though in separate places. Former President Bill Clinton will be in Dutchess County.
The Omega Center for Sustainable Living at Rhinebeck-based Omega Institute for Holistic Studies is hosting a conference this weekend entitled “Where We Go From Here: Opportunities & Solutions for an Interdependent World.” Bill Clinton will deliver the keynote address Friday evening to kick off a weekend-long discussion about a holistic approach to sustainability. It is the first time he is speaking at Omega.
Meanwhile, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be some three hours away, in Clinton, at Hamilton College delivering a speech as part of the college’s Sacerdote Series. She is the fourth former secretary of state to speak as part of the series. Other speakers have included her husband, in 2004, Jon Stewart, Rudy Giuliani and Jimmy Carter. There is no set topic for her speech. Hillary Clinton is also a former U.S. Senator from New York.
