This week, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan appointed 21-year veteran Brendan Cox the new Chief of Police. Cox, who is awaiting confirmation from the Common Council, takes over from the retired Steven Krokoff. Cox had been a close ally of Krokoff’s and worked as the acting chief for the past several months. He spoke with WAMC’s Capital Region Bureau Chief Dave Lucas.
