The city of Burlington, Vermont is celebrating its 150th anniversary this weekend.
Burlington was incorporated as a city on February 21, 1865.
To celebrate its birthday city officials have planned numerous events on Saturday including speakers, music, a parade and a community photo.
Improvements to Contois Auditorium, where the City Council meets, will be unveiled.
Mayor Miro Weinberger calls the celebration “...an opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going as a City.”
