A car crashed into Pittsfield High School shortly after classes let out this afternoon.
According to witness statements, Pittsfield Police Captain David Granger says the car was traveling on Second Street and crossed over the intersecting East Street, which runs parallel in front of the school. Granger says the car hit the curb, causing it to go airborne. It then struck a tree and continued about 50 feet before slamming into a concrete wall in front of the school.
Granger says two males in the car have been taken to Berkshire Medical Center. Their conditions are unknown. Granger says people were in the school yard when the car crashed, but none were injured.
The car is totaled.
