The three companies hoping to secure casino licenses in Massachusetts will make public pitches to gaming industry regulators in Boston on Wednesday
The public presentations of the final casino proposals are part of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission’s detailed evaluation process that is to lead to the awarding of casino licenses in May. Chairman Stephen Crosby said the presentations come a few weeks after the developers filed license applications, each containing thousands of pages detailing the projects.
"Most of all what people will appreciate is the facility itself. What does it look like? What are the surrounding amenities in terms of hotels, spas, restaurants and retail stores?"
MGM Springfield is the only applicant for the lone western Massachusetts casino license. Mohegan Sun and Wynn resorts are competing for the eastern region license. Each company will have 90 minutes to make presentations.
