Albany, NY – China comes to Albany - Capital District Bureau Chief Dave Lucas explains.
The ribbon was cut late this morning as Albany city officials joined with business leaders and developers to welcome "Chinatown" to the Central Avenue business area - the new venture promises to bring a "taste of China" to the streets of New York's Capital City. Matthew Nahn, one of the partners who helped create Chinatown, says you won't have to drive three hours to New York City or Boston to avail yourself of what the Chinese community has to offer. There will be a restaurant, travel agency and more at the complex, located at 303 through 305 Central Avenue.
