The city council in Springfield Massachusetts will get its first opportunity on Monday to review a casino development deal with MGM Resorts International.
The agreement signed by Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno and MGM Springfield President Bill Hornbuckle will be formally transmitted on Monday to the city council for an up or down vote. Council approval is needed for the agreement to be put to a citywide voter referendum. City Council President James Ferrera said the council won’t drag its feet
