Connecticut’s Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman was sworn in for a second term Wednesday morning in Hartford.Governor Dannel Malloy administered the oath of office for his fellow Democrat inside the Senate Chamber at the state capitol in Hartford.

“Nancy Wyman of Tolland, are you ready to be sworn into office?” asked Malloy.

“Ehh, OK,” replied Wyman.

Surrounded by family, Wyman spoke to the state senate including seven new members.

“We are stronger for having traveled together what was sometimes a bumpy path to common ground,” said Wyman.

State Senator Andrew Maynard received a standing ovation. The Democrat was reelected after suffering a head injury in a fall outside his home in July.

Governor Malloy is set to be sworn in at 1:30 followed by a “State of the State” address to lawmakers at 4.
