Following the winter storm that hit parts of the mid-Hudson Valley harder than expected, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that additional resources were headed to two cities in Dutchess County.

Governor Cuomo was in Poughkeepsie Wednesday to announce that he had redeployed resources from elsewhere in the state to help in Dutchess County.

“For Poughkeepsie and Beacon we’re going to redeploy an additional 100 National Guard and an additional 100 pieces of equipment,” Cuomo said.

Cuomo said he was redeploying assets from New York City and Long Island into other priority areas such as Binghamton, Utica and Rome. Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison and Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro joined Cuomo for the announcement.
