Albany, NY – In today's Academic Minute, Dr. John O'Meara of Saint Michael's College discusses the importance of the telescope to our understanding of the night skies.

Dr. O'Meara is assistant professor of physics. His research interests include, among other areas, Big Bang nucleosynthesis and light element abundances, Lyman limit and damped Lyman alpha systems, astrophysical properties of quasar absorption line systems, and galaxy-intergalactic medium interactions.
