Earthquakes and Polluted Wells Tied to Hydrofracking

Hudson Valley, NY – New York was suddenly the most popular girl at the dance as companies rushed to buy up drilling rights over the Marcellus and Utica shale deposits. Other parts of the country that already have established horizontal gas drilling are now beginning to get a clearer picture of what may be potential problems. Hudson Valley bureau chief SUsan Barnett reports that not only water pollution, but earthquakes may be related to horizontal fracking.
