Crown Point, NY – Earlier this week, Vermont and New York jointly announced that an analysis of the Champlain Bridge showed that the piers were too deteriorated to allow for rehabilitation, and a new bridge must be built. Local officials say that means the states must move as quickly as possible to implement ferry service at the site to ease any economic hardships that could occur during reconstruction. WAMC North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
