Federal budget: BC hospitals estimate $28.5 million loss

Pittsfield, MA – President George W. Bush's proposed $2.9 Trillion fiscal 2008 budget would cut Medicare by $76 billion over five years, and Medicaid by $27 billion over the same period. And officials with the two largest health care organizations in the Berkshires contend the proposal will have a QOUTE devastating effect on their bottom lines.
