Federal Money Assures Further Study of Northern Forest

Burlington, VT – In the 1980's and 1990's an extensive study of the Northern Forest resulted in a series of recommendations. One of them was to create a multi-state program to research issues facing the Northern Forest. Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy and New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg recently procured continued funding for the Northeastern States Research Cooperative to continue its research programs in the Northern Forest.
