Holyoke, MA – At a time when public libraries in Massachusetts are being hit by budget cuts that are resulting in staff layoffs, shorter hours of operation and the closings of some branches, there is reason for library supporters in one Western Massachusetts city to cheer. A plan has been put together to pay for a 15 million dollar renovation and expansion of the 108 year old Holyoke Public Library building....WAMC's Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports....
