Group Plans To Open Co-Working Space In Former Balm Facility

Officials are planning on turning a former manufacturing facility for a Vermont-based ointment company into a co-working space for startup businesses.
An official with Lyndon State College says their proposal to turn the Bag Balm building into a co-working space has received support from local legislators, the state and the business community.

The Caledonian Record reports the college's Center for Professional Studies announced their plan for the building last year. The proposal states the co-working space will "increase the vibrancy" of downtown Lyndon and "build prosperity" in the village of Lyndonville.

The center's director Ann Nygard says they have received close to $40,000 in grants and donations for the space.

Nygard says they hope to soon sign a lease and are planning a soft opening in May.
