Health organization treating pain and addiction

Lenox, MA – Berkshire Health Systems has embarked on a Community Pain Management Project in order to better treat cronic and acute pain patients. As part of that project, the largest health care provider in Berkshire County decided to address the abuse of the types of medications often prescribed to treat those conditions. The state Department of Public Health is applauding the effort, calling it a cutting edge program. Our Berkshire Bureau Chief, Carrie Saldo, has this report;
