Heroes & Villains: The Comic Book Art of Alex Ross at The Norman Rockwell Museum
This Saturday a super new exhibition will open at The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA. Heroes & Villains: The Comic Book Art of Alex Ross will be on view at the Museum through February 24th of next year.
Considered one of the greatest artists in the field of comic books, Alex Ross has revitalized classic superheroes into works of fine art. This exhibition is organized by the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and features more than 130 works, including paintings, drawings, photographs, and sculptures from Ross’ personal collection.
We are joined by Jesse Kowalski, Director of Exhibitions at The Andy Warhol Museum and curator of the Ross exhibition; Jeremy Clowe, Manager of Media Services at the Norman Rockwell Museum and, via phone, the artist himself – Alex Ross.
