Hudson Valley, NY – This week's news has included stories of the EPA connecting horizontal gas drilling in Wyoming with contaminated wells and the shutdown of injection wells near the Dallas Fort Worth airport because of studies that indicate they're linked to an increase in earthquakes there. Hudson Valley bureau chief Susan Barnett spoke with Chris Tucker, part of a new group in Washington organized to speak for the Independent Petroleum Association of America, which he says represents 90% of the drillers doing the actual work across the country.
