Monday Deadline for Comment on VT Solar Project

WAMC/Pat Bradley

Vermont's Public Service Board has extended the comment period on a proposed solar array for land along Interstate 91 in Brattleboro.

The town selectboard wants a public hearing on the proposal by Winstanley Enterprises to install about 8,300 solar panels.

The firm applied for a Certificate of Public Good from the Public Service Board and asked that the application be considered under a process that expedites the permitting comment period and limits the public input opportunities.

The Brattleboro Reformer reports the Public Service Board set an Oct. 18 deadline for the interested parties to comment. After the town asked for the public hearing, the board extended the comment deadline to Monday.
