New Bishop Hopes to Repair Church Relations

Springfield, MA – A new bishop will be installed in the Springfield diocese of the Roman Catholic Church today. The bishop-elect has already confronted issues of alleged clergy abuse in the diocese. Springfield's former bishop resigned after being confronted with allegations of sex abuse. As the new leader is installed, many in the church and community are hopeful for better relations between the church and alleged victims. WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief Kelly Wilkinson filed this report.
