New Hampshire's four Democratic electors have signed a letter asking for members of the Electoral College to receive an intelligence briefing explaining whether the government is investigating links between President-elect Donald Trump and Russia.
Ten electors have so far signed onto the open letter to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, posted on the website Medium. New Hampshire's four electors are incoming Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, former House speaker Terie Norelli, former Senate president Bev Hollingworth and former executive councilor Dudley Dudley.
All four of New Hampshire's electors plan to vote for Hillary Clinton. They argue it's imperative for electors to understand Trump's ties to Russia before casting their votes. Hollingworth and Dudley said Monday they're hoping electors choose Clinton instead.
The electors meet Dec. 19 to select the next president.
