New Paltz Elected Officials Perform Same-Sex Marriages
By Allison Dunne
New Paltz, NY – Close to four months after New Paltz Mayor Jason West presided over several same-sex marriages, two other New Paltz elected officials have stepped in to do the same. The village's deputy mayor along with a village trustee solemnized four gay marriages yesterday, on the one-month anniversary of same-sex marriages becoming legal in Massachusetts. More from WAMC's Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne.
