Watervliet, NY – New York State has just become one of the biggest investors in a new nanotechnology company in the Capital Region. State Comptroller Alan Hevesi announced a $2 million investment through the state's common retirement fund Tuesday for Applied Nanoworks, whose patented technologies are the first of their kind in the world.
