North Country Hospital Lockdown Over Following Bomb Threat

The hospital in Plattsburgh is under lockdown following a bomb threat.
The main campus of the  University of Vermont Health Network’s Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh went into lockdown after receiving the  bomb threat via web at 9:54 Friday morning.  

According to the hospital spokeswoman a security alert was sent to all employees.  The emergency room and surgeries on the main campus are occurring as planned.  

Visitors have been asked to stay in patient rooms or leave.  

A bomb-sniffing dog has been brought in and essential employees scheduled to work must  have identification.  

There has been no evacuation of the facility.
