Nurture culture, develop a city?

Pittsfield, MA – Pittsfield's Office of Cultural Development was created, when Mayor James Ruberto took office, to help re-shape the image of the city from one that was relatively art-starved to that of a cultural place to see and be seen. Megan Whilden, the director of cultural development, has been the primary force behind that on-going alteration. WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief, recently spent some time observing Whilden at work and has this report;
