Police say the victim of a traffic crash in Williamstown, Mass. earlier this week was from New York.

Police announced Thursday that 57-year-old Patrick Harrigan of Rensselaer, New York, failed to stop at a flashing red light and was broadsided by a Peter Pan bus. The force of the collision caused the vehicles to drift into the opposite lane and clip a third vehicle.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that Harrigan was trapped in his Mazda 3 and pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus driver was not hurt while the bus’ lone passenger was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing but police say charges are unlikely.
