New York State is offering a reward for information that leads to the capture of two escaped inmates. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the bounty during an afternoon update on the search Sunday.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the state is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension or arrest of the escapees. “This is an unusual step for the state, but given the severity of the situation we think that it is appropriate. I’ve spoken to the legislative leaders and they’re in agreement. So we will offer a $100,000 reward; $50,000 for the apprehension or arrest of one of the two escapees.”
Cuomo called the escape a crisis situation.
