A New York State senator says he is putting his ear to the ground when it comes to the concerns of small business owners.
Senator David Carlucci, an independent Democrat whose represents most of Rockland County and part of Westchester County, has formed a Small Business Advisory Committee. The committee is for his district alone, and will be charged with developing ideas and solutions to foster a more welcoming business climate throughout the Hudson Valley. The committee will be made up of stakeholders representing various sectors of the small business economy. Small business owners and those who would like to participate in the panel discussions will hail from both Rockland and Westchester Counties. The first meeting is Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. - noon at The Hudson House Restaurant, in Nyack.
