An annual conference that kicks off tonight is inviting men to join the stage and audience for the first time. It's the Women & Power Conference, from the Omega Women’s Leadership Center at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck. WAMC’s Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne spoke with Carla Goldstein , co-founder of the Center, and Michael Kimmel, a leading researcher on men and masculinity.

That was Michael Kimmel, professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Stony Brook University in New York, where he directs the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities; and Omega Women’s Leadership Center Co-Founder Carla Goldstein, speaking with WAMC’s Allison Dunne.  The conference, entitled Women/Men: The Next Conversation, is September 19–21 on Omega’s Rhinebeck campus.
