Pittsfield Police: One Arrested, Two More Suspected In Monday Shooting of Teen

Police in Pittsfield, Massachusetts continue to investigate a shooting Monday morning that sent a 17-year-old male to the hospital.Pittsfield police responded to numerous reports of a shooting at the intersection of Tyler and First Streets just before 9 a.m. Monday, according to a department release. A 17-year old man was shot. A nearby ambulance was flagged down and took the teen to Berkshire Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Police arrested a teenage male whose been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and firing a gun within 500 feet of a home.

Pittsfield Police, along with members of the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state police are still looking for two other people believed to be involved. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Detective Bureau at 413-448-9705.
