The person believed to have left threatening phone messages that led to recent evacuations at Lenox Memorial Middle and High School has been arrested.Police arrested the 14-year-old suspect who is a Lenox student Tuesday morning, according to The Berkshire Eagle. A message noticed by school staff Thursday morning led to an early dismissal.

“Initially making some very general threats that they might be doing harm on this day, Thursday, April 2nd, to the students and staff at the middle and high school,” said interim superintendent Timothy Lee on Thursday.

Lenox Police Chief Stephen O’Brien says it’s believed the same person left a message heard Monday that led to a partial evacuation. Students later returned to class. O’Brien says investigators don’t know why the calls were made. The suspect is facing three felony counts of making false bomb threats among other charges.
