Albany, NY – With the recognition that Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual youth often face tough and complicated challenges in their high school years, local philanthropist Joshua Dunning Powell approached the Pride Center in the fall of 2009 with a proposal to support and encourage LGBT youth in the Capital Region. 2011 marks the second year for the Joshua Dunning Powell (JDP) College Scholarship Fund and applications are now being accepted.
