Proposed Springfield Hotel Rejected

Springfield, ma – A developer wants to build a major destination hotel on Springfield, Massachusetts's struggling riverfront. But after months of negotiations and planning, the city has rejected the proposal, saying it's too expensive for the city. The developer says the city is wrong and that it will be entirely privately funded.
