Renowned Astronomer to Visit Adirondack Region
By Pat Bradley
Plattsburgh, NY – The comet Shoemaker-Levy-9 came to a spectacular end in 1994 when it crashed into the planet Jupiter. The comet was one of 21 that astronomer David Levy has discovered. Levy will be in New York's North Country tonight and Friday to lecture and visit the sites that inspired him to study the night skies. More from North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley.
