Vermont U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders is continuing to push for better and more affordable access to dental care for Americans.

Sanders is chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging. He held  a hearing on dental care Thursday focused on the factors contributing to the high cost of dental care. Sanders says he plans to introduce legislation to expand comprehensive dental coverage  through Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act and the Department of Veterans Affairs, and expand access at community health centers.

He says Vermont is a model for good dental care.
