Senate Committee Exploring Ways to Encourage Broadband Development

Montpelier, VT – A committee of the Vermont Senate is trying to encourage development of high-speed broadband internet computer service to rural areas of the state. State officials estimate eighty-three percent of Vermonters now have broadband service and are working towards a goal of ninety percent service within the state by next year.
